Speaking on data quality at the NERA 2024 conference
On October 8, 2024, AJ Keirans led a 90-minute session on data quality at the Northeastern Educational Research Association's annual conference in Connecticut.
Thank you to Northeastern Educational Research Association (NERA) for having me speak at your annual conference. It was great to meet so many new people and learn about your organization, plus it was local which was a first for me for a conference.
My talk on Tuesday was "Data Quality: The More You Know; Key Concepts and Approaches to Ensure Quantitative Research Success". This workshop shared an overview of the current industry landscape, the phases of research that can be impacted by quality and shared some best practices.
Special thanks to Karine Pepin, Melanie Courtright, Kerry Hecht and Vignesh Krishnan who all supplied quotes to include as part of my presentation. I felt it was important to showcase the efforts of some industry thought leaders to highlight the larger audience that is working to improve quality for the industry. Also pretty awesome to get to sit-in on the workshop next door to my room entitled 'Less is More' from Kai K. Fuentes. It put me in a good headspace before my 90-minute session.
I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping the industry move forward together. Excited for my next speaking engagement.
